Terms of use
1. What Saathiyaa is
Saathiyaa lets adults find and meet another adult as a companion for time and company at public events and venues, such as garba and dandiya nights, weddings, cafés and restaurants. Saathiyaa only helps people connect. We are not a party to any meeting between users.
2. Who can use it
You must be 18 or older. Signing in with Google does not prove your age. Anyone who lists themselves as a companion must complete ID and selfie verification and a human review. We may refuse, suspend or remove any account at our discretion.
3. Companionship only
Saathiyaa is for time and company only. Sexual services, escorting, or any request for something beyond time and company are strictly prohibited and lead to a permanent ban and, where required, a report to the authorities.
4. Meet requests
- A meet request is only a request. The other person may accept or decline, and either side may cancel as described in the app.
- Every meeting must take place at a public venue named in the request. You must not ask to meet, or agree to meet, at a home, hotel room or other private place.
- Saathiyaa does not handle payments and is not a way to hire or pay anyone. Do not ask for or send money. Report anyone who asks.
5. Your conduct
Be respectful. Do not harass, threaten, discriminate against, record or share photos of anyone without consent, impersonate another person, upload another person's photos or documents, or use Saathiyaa for anything unlawful. You can report or block any user from a chat or a meet request.
6. Safety
Verification confirms that a person submitted an ID and selfie that a reviewer accepted. It is not a criminal background check and does not guarantee anyone's behaviour. Meet only in public, tell a friend where you are going, and call 112 in an emergency.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of the photos and text you upload and give Saathiyaa a licence to display them on the service while your listing is active. You confirm you have the right to upload them.
8. Messages
To start a chat, a person sends one short introduction. The other person can accept, decline, or block and report them, and no further messages can be sent until they accept. Do not share phone numbers or private addresses in an introduction. Chats are for getting to know each other and coordinating a meeting in a public place. They are deleted [24 hours] after each message is sent. Reports may be reviewed by our team together with the related messages.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access at any time for breach of these terms or to protect users. You may stop using Saathiyaa at any time and can ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy).
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Saathiyaa is provided "as is" and we are not liable for what happens between users or for losses arising from meetings arranged through the service. [Have a lawyer set the liability and indemnity wording.]
11. Governing law and grievances
These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts at [city] having jurisdiction. Grievance Officer: [name], [email], [postal address]. We will acknowledge complaints within [48 hours] and aim to resolve them within [15 days].
12. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will tell you in the app before it applies.
